Welcome to McBurg Community Center
McBurg Community Center is a multi-purpose facility located in the heart of McBurg, Tennessee, with a mission to enhance the physical, cultural, and social aspects of the community. We aim to bring people together and foster a sense of community through a variety of amenities and services that we offer.
Our History
This historic building was first built in 1906 to serve as a school house for the McBurg community and surrounding areas. Operating for over 50 years, students were transferred to other schools in the area when attendance fell short in 1959. Since then, the building has served as the community center. The original school bell is still standing on McBurg Community Center's property.
For over 100 years, McBurg Community Center was preserved the art of bar-b-que cooking with our annual barbecue day. We host many annual events including a fall festival, trail ride and so much more.

Walking Track
The quarter-mile loop walking track is well-lit for exercising after sunset. There is also outdoor exercise equipment on the track for patrons to use alone or in addition to the walking track.
Playground, Basketball Hoop and Swings
The McBurg Community Center features a vibrant playground area with colorful swings and a basketball hoop, offering both children and adults opportunities for active play and recreation. With its inviting amenities, the center provides a space for community members to engage in outdoor activities and enjoy leisure time together.
